After a period of impressive growth and development, and following Gray Dawes Travel's acquisition of VCK Travel in January 2024, we proudly announce a change in the leadership of our company.

As of May 1st, 2024, Ed Berrevoets will step down as Statutory Director, and Dave Bishop will assume the role of Managing Director, with the aim of continuing VCK Travel's current growth under the brand name Gray Dawes Travel.

Ed leaves a lasting impression on VCK Travel. Under his dedicated leadership, the company has established a leading position in business travel, marine travel, and government travel services. With Ed as Managing Director, VCK Travel has strengthened its position as a prominent player, distinguished by transparent and innovative services with a personal touch.

This decision marks a crucial milestone following Gray Dawes Travel's acquisition in January 2024. After nearly twenty years of leading the company with energy and dedication, Ed has decided it is time to step down. This decision has been carefully made in consultation with the Works Council and Gray Dawes. Ed will continue to support the company until the end of his employment on June 30th, 2024.

Reflecting on a rich history with many highlights and challenges, Ed emphasizes the importance of looking ahead. "Now that we have recovered from the effects of the pandemic, it is time to focus on the future," he says. "We look forward to charting a new course together with Gray Dawes, and we are confident that Dave Bishop will successfully lead the company in this next phase."

Dave Bishop brings 25 years of leadership experience in finance, sales, technology, and commerce to his new role. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Gray Dawes Travel, he is well positioned to continue VCK Travel's success. His determination, strategic insight, and proven track record make him the ideal candidate to lead this exciting new phase of the company.

"I am honored and excited to take on the role of Managing Director of Gray Dawes Travel in the Netherlands," says Dave. "We are incredibly grateful to Ed for his dedication, vision, and leadership. I now look forward to a seamless transition from VCK Travel to Gray Dawes Travel, a successful next phase for our Dutch operation, and a promising future for our European clients."

In response to the announcement, Suzanne Horner, CEO of the Gray Dawes Group, said: "The expansion of Gray Dawes Travel into Europe and particularly into the Netherlands is very exciting for us. This expansion is the next step in our global growth plan and completes the circle regarding our unique service strategy. We call this service strategy 'Follow the sun' because at any given time of day, there is a Gray Dawes office reachable somewhere in the world for our clients. And because we use the same technology platform throughout the entire Gray Dawes operation and have access to up-to-date customer information, we can provide our clients with seamless personal service. So, we follow the sun from the United Kingdom through North America to Australia and then to the Netherlands; the four core hubs of Gray Dawes representing our global presence."

In conclusion, Dave says: "As an integral part of the Gray Dawes Group, I look forward to building further on VCK Travel's impressive success and collaborating with the talented Dutch team to achieve our ambitious goals."
